We are flying to Singapore ✈️ on Monday 29th December, staying at the Fullerton Hotel for 3 nights - taking in New Year's Eve festivities 🎉
Our next destination is Sydney for 6 nights, with a rather full itinerary before hiring a car and doing a 517 mile road trip to the Gold Coast 🚙- with a pit stop 196 miles in at the Boogie Woogie Hotel (Pete's find 😂)
we finally arrive at our apartment in the Gold Coast where we can chill for 5 weeks, walking 👣 sightseeing 📷 golfing ⛳️, swimming 🏊♀️ and sunbathing 😎
The final leg of our adventure will be a flight ✈️ to Dubai 🇦🇪 from Brisbane with a couple of tours pre- booked whilst staying at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa
Finally the last flight ✈️ - 21st February to Birmingham

We have walked 10K today exploring, taking in the Singapore Flyer to get a Birds Eye view. The shopping malls go on for literally ever 🛍️
we had a visit to Raffles and we are excited for afternoon tea there on Friday - it is very majestic feel
Everywhere is getting ready for tonight's celebrations and we are seeing in the New Year at the hotel and will be able to watch all the fireworks over the bay
Although our midnight will only be 4pm your time, we both wish you all a fabulous 2026 🎉🥂❤️🇸🇬
Well the journey is almost at an end 🥲 but instead of being sad we are enjoying the memories, of which we have many. I am glad I did this blog as Wendy (Boneham) said it is a great way of keeping a diary - and she is absolutely right and thank you for the tip and help!! I have probably forgotten a lot of our experiences already, so now I just need to read my own blog as a reminder!!

Well yet another week gone by on the beautiful Gold Coast, the weather continues to be glorious with only one overcast day
Some highlights of the week for you all
Can't believe we have been at the Gold Coast 2 weeks already - time is flying by! We are loving it here Lots of similarities to Florida but the vibe is much more relaxed and easy and no pesky mosquitos which is a big bonus

An update over the past few days
Saturday - Well breakfast was interesting, we bought a brand of Weetabix yesterday and they were not like home!! More like cardboard and milk - plan B needed!!
After a great breakfast at the Boogie Woogie hotel in the Louis Armstrong room this morning, we embarked on the final leg of our journey to the Gold Coast
Normal start with breakfast, checking out of the QT Hotel and off to collect the rental car, which was surprisingly easy. Pete navigated us back to the Hotel to collect our luggage and then we were off on our road trip to the Gold Coast
Our final day in Sydney has been fabulous. On the advice of Josh (the doorman of our hotel from Coventry!) we decided to get the ferry ⛴️ across the harbour to Manly where there are beaches, shops and eateries
A very early start this morning as we went on a 🚌tour to the Blue Mountains about 60 miles west of Sydney
