GOLD COAST 3

Just a little update for you

Thursday - we played 18 holes of golf at Surfers Paradise GC again - it is so local and reasonably priced we think we will play the majority of our golf here and maybe try a couple further afield

We decided to walk and carry this time - we'll it was too hot ðŸĨĩ and we just kept catching up the 3 ball in buggies!!!  Needless to say we are having a buggy on Monday. We played ok as usual some good, some bad

Decided to eat out at a Thai restaurant in the evening which was really nice although the sticky rice was a bit welded together 😂

Friday - our beach day, decided to pitch ourselves at the beach across the road with our chairs and sun shade, taking a lunch picnic with us.  All was good Pete venturing into the crashing waves with the big boys (and idiots!!) and I dared to go further in than usual and got my shoulders wet 😂😂

We have learnt the lesson about Aussie sun though - it is extremely fierce. ☀ïļâ˜€ïļâ˜€ïļI used 50 SPF and still managed to burn - but only a little compared to my dopey husband who thought sitting under the shade and only going a few times into the sea would be fine - it wasn't fine as he got very burnt ðŸĨĩ and has been applying aloe Vera aftersun like a good'un. You would like to tho k at our age and having raised 4 kids we would be experts managing the perils of the sun ?????

A couple of days rest from the sun I think 😂

Saturday - a nice day just chillin on the balcony watching the world go by, checking out some of the fabulous tower blocks - some have apartments that are the whole floor!  That is serious money, but they are super nice I have to say

Had a great brunch a 20 minute walk away at Banksys - had good reviews and we weren't disappointed and we will definitely be going back

Had a wander around the area and ended up in the mall (as you do) I bought a pair of sandals and Pete got a new suitcase!! I would like to think it is to carry home all my purchases, but unfortunately not, his case zip has broken ðŸĨē

Ate out in the evening at another Thai restaurant which was away from the centre but the food was amazing and we will definitely return

All in all a good day, relaxing and nice restaurants and no sunburn ðŸĨĩ

Sunday (today)  a rainy day in the GC - quite welcome under the circumstances 😂😂 A day much the same as yesterday- more Aloe Vera necessary. We have purchased some UV50+ swim tops which I think will prove to be a good move 😂

Hope you are all ok at home- take care x

The resident Eastern Bearded Dragon welcoming us at the GC - a common lizard in Oz non-venomous but can bite !!

The beautiful beach from Friday ðŸĨĩ☀ïļðŸ–ïļ

The nicer of the 2 Thai restaurants we have frequented

On our travels around our neighbourhood we came across this lovely vertical garden ðŸŠī

Rainy day on the Gold Coast ☔ïļ still 26 degrees though
