Well yet another week gone by on the beautiful Gold Coast, the weather continues to be glorious with only one overcast day
More golf of course! Definitely more walking, more of which later!
We keep toying with the idea to travel 3+ hours north, the other side of Brisbane, to visit Noosa - we are just having a little difficulty getting our act together to do it 😂 but it is on our to do list for next week, so maybe ???
Since last Saturday we have walked 80,000 steps covering 37 miles - 15 miles on one afternoon on Tuesday !!! I decided we would walk to a town named Robina as I didn't think it loooked far on the map - oh how wrong was I 😂😂 it took me all day Wednesday to recover and today we have covered a modest 8 miles 😥 Interestingly, whenever we have walked through housing areas there are no footpaths at all, it just seems weird to us. Have to admit we rarely see other walkers on our travels, they must think we are quite mad 😂 but it's a great way of finding off the beaten track places - on our longest walk I inevitably needed a loo and in our attempts to find one we came across a fabulous bar/restaurant and ended up having a beer and tacos 🌮 I've never had tacos before and they are really nice, even if they are messy! 😂
Pete is still following the construction of a tower block with great interest - it does create him more questions and intrigue though - can't stop an inquiring mind 😂
We played golf this week and got paired up with a great couple, we all had moments of good golf (and bad!!), they were really friendly and we joined them and their friends for drinks and a meal afterwards - we had the Friday night special of rump steak, chips and salad with choice of sauce for $15 dollars each (£7.50!) and it was really nice. Really nice people, very humorous and we were definitely popular for being pommies if nothing else!, they are very interested in our country and it's history
A selection of photos for you all - love to everyone ❤️
