After a great breakfast at the Boogie Woogie hotel in the Louis Armstrong room this morning, we embarked on the final leg of our journey to the Gold Coast
A 7 hour trip covering 335 miles, with a couple of rest breaks, arriving around 3pm Brisbane time (as it is 1 hour less than Sydney!! 5am UK time

A steady journey on the highway doing 110km an hour, it was interesting that nobody exceeded the limit even though there were miles and miles of free road and we only saw 1 police car the whole journey - just more chilled than in the UK I guess !!
We did cross a lot of little creeks (rivers to us) though some really wide ones too
Collecting the keys from a grocers store was a bit odd but went smoothly, we have been food shopping and will have a restful evening once unpacked
The apartment and its view is stunning, although surrounded by other tall buildings we have a clear view of the Pacific and the sound is lovely too - this will do nicely for a few weeks R&R
