Saturday - Well breakfast was interesting, we bought a brand of Weetabix yesterday and they were not like home!! More like cardboard and milk - plan B needed!!
We have been watching from our balcony a tower being extended, with the crane itself being extended to an even higher level - quite fascinating to watch, Pete is following the activity with great interest
We purchased our beach chairs and shade umbrella today and ventured across the road to plonk ourselves on the beach for the afternoon. Glorious weather with a pleasant breeze. Lifeguards are very active in keeping swimmers safe but people still insist on swimming in front of a red flag zone - madness if you ask me!!
Pete got to wear his new Budgy Smugglers today he fitted in perfectly with the Aussies (picture attached so steel yourselves 😂😂😂😂)
Decided to cook at the apartment tonight and chill
Sunday - had a late breakfast at the shopping mall today followed by a 50 minute walk there and back to Surfers Paradise Golf Club, where we booked a round for tomorrow - from what we saw it looked a really nice course with an equally nice clubhouse and pro shop
A late afternoon swim in the sea for Pete and a paddle for me! The weather has been cloudy this afternoon and we may see a bit of rain over the next few days ???
Finished the evening with a meal in a local hotel, fish and chips and pizza with 2 coronas and coffee's totalling £50 - not too bad
