Early start with a lovely breakfast at the Hotel to start our day - as we were tucking into our eggs and coffee, Stuart Broad and Ricky Ponting appeared in the lobby getting a lift to the first day of the test match!! 🏏 Apparently Priscilla Presley stayed here a couple of weeks ago too !!
We had no real plan for the day other than to explore some more of Sydney. Some 23km later (yes 23!!!) we came across a nice park with a lovely cathedral then a great marina at a place called Woolloomooloo 😂 we saw lots of jelly fish!! some enviable yachts and lovely eateries. We then found the Australian Naval base with 6 ships
Although we didn't get tickets we decided to pay homage to the test match and decided to walk to the Sydney Cricket Ground 🏏 it was great to see all the English and Aussie fans all in good spirits, with some in fancy dress
After an iced latte outside the ground, we then decided to continue to Bondi Beach 🏖️- wow what a place, super busy but great vibe. After a couple of beers and a paddle we got the bus 🚎 back to our Hotel (free of charge as we had no idea how to pay for it!!!)
Our evening was spent wining and dining in the Sydney tower restaurant🗼some 879 feet up! Fabulous views of the skyline 🌆 and iconic buildings of the city
Weather today was a warm 29 degrees ☀️and no rain
